Answer #1:
Of course you are your own person being gay is a oreintation not a guide line.
Answer #2:
hell yea it is. ur an adventurous, outgoing gay guy!
shit id be ur best friend if i knew u.lol
Answer #3:
You do see gay and bi guys doing those sports, but they are not advertising their sexuality. Sex has little to do with sports, so the player's sexual preference is not relevant. Do what you enjoy, and be careful with that back. Good luck friend.
Answer #4:
There are gay people that do these things, but they are usually not the ones you know to be gay. There was a guy at my high school who was a pitcher, a point guard, and a quarterback - and excellent at all of them - who turned out to be gay. There are more out there than you might think.
Answer #5:
Hell yeah, it's okay. Everyone should be able to something they like.
Answer #6:
Are you serious? I hope that no one that answers no to this question, for if they do, they need their *** kicked! Of course you can play sports! Your sexuality has nothing to do with your athletic (or academic for that matter) ability! If anyone tries to stop you, that is discrimination of the highest level! There have been many gay and bisexual people that have played sports, some at the highest professional levels.
However, then, as it is now, most of them do not (or cannot, your choice of interpretation) choose to do so as openly gay or bi. There is a negativity toward gay and bisexual athletes, almost totally male. This is mostly for the concerns from "straight" athletes being worried about being "checked out" and/or hit on by a fellow competitor who is gay or bi. Also, most companies will not sponsor a openly gay (male) athlete. A few have come out after they retire, but most do not.
Here is the double standard. It is, for the most part, acceptable for a female athlete to be openly lesbian or bi (Martina Navaratilova (who is retired) comes to mind, and some active tennis, LPGA and WNBA athletes too) while they compete.
Men cannot do the same, at least none that I am aware of, especially in the major sports. I presume you are not out of the closet. If you come out, you will get a lot of backlash for sure, unfair as it is, whether it be in high school, college or especially at the professional level, if you are blessed to go that far. If you move up the ladder to that level and you decide to take that on, you will have my support. But it will not be easy, for you or anyone you care about. Good luck.
